We are looking for someone with with experience in working with people who face barriers to employment either as a jobs coach, professional coach or a similar role.
Helping to build our team and provision you will work directly with our candidates to understand their career goals, their barriers and support them into rewarding new careers. You will build a network of service providers and employers to create opportunities for our candidates and provide truly holistic service for all candidates.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous working experience as a Job / professional Coach or similar role for 2 years or more
- Experience in working with people with barriers to employment
- Existing network, or proven ability to network, with a broad range of service providers
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to inspire and motivate
- Demonstrable commitment to BIG’s values; Inclusive, Adaptive, Collaborative and Entrepreneurial
- Passion for social justice and equality, diversity and inclusion
- Experience of asset-based approach/thinking or a willingness to learn and implement this approach
Salary and Benefits offered:
- Staring salary would be in the range of £30,000 per annum and dependent on, skills and experience

Urban Saints are looking to recruit a new Communications Manager to join the team. This is a critical role, where you will be taking a lead to ensure that Urban Saints' internal and external communications are as effective as they can be. You will manage the Communications Team to ensure effective delivery of our communications strategy that promotes the identity and values of Urban Saints. Working with all other branches of Urban Saints, you will also maintain overall responsibility for ensuring that Urban Saints communicates well with the wide range of audiences we are seeking to connect with.
The ideal candidate will be one who understands and is passionate about ministry, particularly with opportunities provided through communications. They will also be experienced and confident with all primary channels and tools within the communications and marketing arena. We are looking for a socially conscious Investment Manager to join one of the UK's leading Social Impact Investors.
Big Issue Invest is part of the Big Issue Group which brings together media, investment and service initiatives under the one aim of creating solutions through enterprise, to unlock social and economic opportunity for the 14.5m people in the UK living in relative poverty to earn, learn and thrive.
The role will support the lending activities of Big Issue Invest and have exposure to the full investment lifecycle including sourcing and developing new investment opportunities; managing the current portfolio of investments; and admin and project work to support the team’s development.
You will have the opportunity to work with experienced social investors across a range of sectors, asset classes and company stages and have development opportunities based around on the job and formal training as well as coaching.
You will have previous experience of working in the investment, social investment and/or the social sector. You have a strong commitment to the social objectives of the Big Issue Group and an understanding of our work. You will also posses an understanding of debt investments and SME/corporate credit analysis.
